The 'revolving' door....

An individual in their 20s was arrested and questioned, Under Section 30 of the Offences agains the State Act, following a handgun seizure in Ballysheedy yesterday, apparently in connection with an ongoing Limerick fued. The seizure was described as 'significant'......

The weapon, believed to be a high-power pistol was recovered in the Ballysheedy area during an intelligence-led operation targeting serious criminal activity in the city - via Irish Times

'intelligence led' ??!?!?!?

yet....

this individual was later released without charge and a file sent to the DPP.

  1. they let him off without charge probably because they didn't get the big fish they wanted to fry or this man was acting as the gangs goafer, or he's a big noise that they are afraid to touch!

"A series of searches have been carried out in counties Dublin, Tipperary, Offaly and Kerry, targeting people involved in the Limerick gang feuds.

12 searches were carried out on private residences, commercial premises and offices.

During the course of the searches €38,000 in cash was seized along with a large amount of documentary evidence and computers.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing"

looks like there are a lot of revolving doors lately! the more the Gardai are put under pressure, the more searches they carry out. I say, put them under pressure and get them working on combating criminal activity for a change!
