According to the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission's report in excess of 2000 complaints were made last year. The report states that one Garda was convicted and just another 146 were disciplined as a result of those complaints.

A joke report. I'd like to know exactly how many complaints went in against Limerick Gardai?? and how many were followed upon and how many disciplined?

ReplyDeletenot from Limerick myself, but a mate of mine knows someone who put in a complaint against a Limerick Detective Garda over some threats. Ombudsman appointed a Garda in the same station to investigate and last I heard that appointed Garda deliberately caused delays in the investigation. It's going on for years. Information and evidence gone missing and big cover ups.
