We propose it, we massage it, and we often have to RAM it
Members of the ERU and Regional Support Unit were involved in a high speed chase in the vicinity of Drombanna, Ballyneety, Co. Limerick, earlier today. It is alleged that they foiled a suspected revenge gangland attack, after they finally rammed the suspect car off the road. A firearm and a quantity of ammunition were seized and four individuals in their 20's (one female, three males) arrested. During the fracas, a member of the ERU was injured. He received facial injuries, after being hit by the car door, and was taken to the Regional Hospital, Limerick. Two suspects received superficial injuries.
The Garda Siochana Ombudsman are investigating and the incident was referred by the Garda Commissioner under Section 102 of the Garda Siochana Act 2006.
It is alleged the McCarthy Dundon gang were planning a revenge attack on one of their rivals following a shooting incident on Monday...
Passers by were shocked to see weapons(guns) produced and drawn and onlookers were told to take cover and stay behind their vehicles as the ERU ordered the occupants out of the car and to put their hands up.

good job they caught those scum out but at what expense? at the expense of some bystander getting hurt or run down.
fair play to the eru, zero tollerance, they should have done it a long time ago,
ReplyDeletethe eru were incompetent. they are not trained properly and someone could have been seriously injured or caught in the cross fire. if they were properly trained then the one that stupidly stuck his face in front of the car door wouldn't have been injured. then that gombeen kiely praises them for being brave. and what makes me smile is that limerick people and irish people in general will organise protests for the likes of the recent fiasco with Isreal, yet they won't stand up to the joke garda force, the corrupt garda force and fianna fail the wasters! anonymous you may as well say then that isreal were entitled to kill those people.
